2017 The Gen Giammanco Foundation Award Application
2017 The Gen Giammanco Foundation Award Application Renewal
Purpose: The mission of the Gen Giammanco Foundation is to provide financial support to student athletes to assist in their pursuit of both scholastic and athletic success at the collegiate level. Support will be provided to qualifying applicants through monetary awards to help pay for tuition and other school fees.
Criteria: The student athletes that are eligible for assistance must be high school students who reside in Monterey County, Santa Cruz County, or students who attend high schools in the following cities: Burbank, Santa Clarita, and Ventura. Eligible students must continue their education and athletic career at a junior college, college or university. Funding of a Gen Giammanco Foundation (GGF) Award is contingent on the student athlete becoming a member of an NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA or CCCAA collegiate athletic team. Consideration will also be given to the applicant’s leadership, sportsmanship, community service, academic record and financial need. Some GGF Awards will be renewed upon application, provided the student athlete continues to meet the above stated criteria.
Guidelines: GGF Awards will be distributed on an annual basis.
Amount: Each GGF Award will be a minimum of $500.00. Original GGF Award amounts are not guaranteed upon renewal.
Deadline: The application deadline is March 31, 2017. The deadline is the date after which applications will no longer be accepted. The Gen Giammanco Foundation uses the postmarked date to determine mailed entries.
I was able to pay off my classes with the Gen Giammanco Award which meant I did not have to work as much in season and could focus on volleyball even more. - Daisy Valladares, defensive specialist, Gavilan College
